UK based Infineer, market leaders in school meal solutions powered with
smartcards, are celebrating the news that their smartcard manufacturing partner, Burall InfoSmart, have issued over one million
cards to Infineer customers worldwide.
Infineer and Burall InfoSmart have been partners for over 12 years, delivering quality magnetic card operated
solutions to schools and colleges in over 40 countries. In 1999, Burall InfoSmart invested heavily in the technology required to
produce contact chip cards, in line with the dramatic increase in sales of ChipNet, Infineer’s smartcard payment solution for both
the education and corporate market.
Colin Petrie, Managing Director of Infineer, is understandably delighted with the news. “Putting over one
million cards into this competitive market is a positive indicator of ChipNet’s success, as we continue to offer customers
alternatives to conventional magnetic card systems.”
The team at Burall InfoSmart, based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, with Rod Duddin at the helm, have an enviable
reputation as a first class player in the card-manufacturing arena and are equally delighted on hitting the one million marker.
“Infineer are an aggressive player in the market and a million cards issued is a significant achievement. The
second million is certainly on the horizon as they continue to open new markets in everywhere from Iceland to the Lebanon.” |
