Smart Cards

Burall InfoSmart has a good reputation for quality, service and flexibility in producing customised smart cards. We produce contact and contactless cards and all cards are manufactured to their respective international standards (including ISO 7816, ISO 10536, ISO 14443 and ISO 15693).

Burall are also one of the few companies to be certified to produce ITSO cards for UK transport schemes.

Contact Chip Smart Cards These include simple EPROM contact chip cards which can be used for loyalty cards, prepayment cards and membership cards etc. We also supply Microprocessor contact chip cards such as the JCOP range for secure purse applications and high-security biometric systems. Contactless Chip Smart Cards These include proximity contactless chip cards such as MIFARE® Classic & DESFire ranges and vicinity contactless chip cards such as Hitag® e.g. for hands-free access control cards, student identity cards, prepayment and concessionary travel cards etc.

Cards are mainly manufactured from sheets of laminated PVC although other materials can be supplied. These are pre-printed by digital, lithographic, or screen methods. Where personalisation is required of contactless cards, we can use our Digital print line to offer you The Digital Print Advantage.

For contact smartcards, including dual-interface devices,the chips are inserted using an automatic robotic process ensuring consistent high quality.

We test to ISO standards and all cards may be personalised using our comprehensive bureau services. Additionally HICO and LOCO magnetic stripes including Watermark® can be applied and encoded, along with signature stripes. For additional security holograms can be added as can other security features.
